MTN Super League Champions, Power Dynamos will face Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Football Club (APR FC) in their final friendly match and preparations for both the 2025/2026 CAF Champions League and MTN Super League season, the club has announced.
Abayellow will play the 23 time Rwanda Premier League Champions on Sunday 17th August, 2025 at the 45,000 plus capacity Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Abayellow returned from South Africa where they had held a 10 day training camp and played 4 friendly matches.
With the MTN Super League set to kick off the day before, and Dynamos set to kick off their title defense with a home match at Arthur Davies Stadium against Red Arrows it’s not clear if they will travel after this match or it will be rescheduled.
Abayellow will continue their pre-season preparations at Arthur Davies Stadium this week ahead of their Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity shield tie against ZESCO United.
Power Dynamos won the 2024/2025 MTN Super League, their eighth title after accumulating 68 points from 34 league games.
Dynamos will represent the country in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League and will be looking to progress beyond the preliminary stages.
Abayellow remain the only Zambian club to have won a continental trophy, lifting the CAF Cup Winners’ Cup in 1991.
