The Lusaka Provincial League has continued to entertain fans around the communities with exciting action.
The third tier League entered week four of action over the weekend with wins for Kamaila, Shamuel, Chilanga Stars and Police College.
Kamaila’s 2-0 win away to Airport Warriors was enough for them to move from bottom of the table to 14th.
Kamaila lost all their opening 3 matches and with this was their first victory of the season while Airport have now dropped into the relegation zone with only 3 points.
At Nationalist Stadium, Lusaka City Council have continued with their fine form in defence with four clean sheets in a row, but they are yet to score a single goal, something they should worry about if they want to start winning matches. In week 4 they played to a goalless draw against second placed Makeni All Stars.
Dabwiso Nkhoma’s Young Zanaco woes have deepened and they have moved to the bottom of the table with just one point. They lost 1-0 to Shamuel in week 4 at Crested Crane thanks to a Joshua Chongo lone strike.
Mike Katiba scored the all important goal for the defending Champions Riflemen to beat Paramilitary 1-0 at Green Square Ground in the Arakan Barack.
Similar results were recorded at Show Grounds and Matero Stadium with the Parliamentarians being the winners over visitors Nampundwe FC and ZAMMSA winning over Chainda Bombers respectively courtesy of a Musiyani Silavwe goal.
Chawama United are yet to have a win as they lost to league leaders Police College who maintained their 100 percent winning start to the season.
Police College recorded a routine 2-0 win over the Chawama based side.
