Chipolopolo winger Lubambo Musonda made a return from an injury lay-off to help Śląsk Wrocław secure a goal less draw against Zagłębie Lublin in last night’s league encounter.
Musonda who had picked up a knock a few weeks ago returned to make his first appearance under Coach Magiera, who recently took the helm at Śląsk.
The former Power Dynamos man was introduced in the 74th minute with Śląsk looking to break the deadlock.
Deep in added time, Musonda showed good defensive awareness. He tracked back to head out a dangerous cross floated into the penalty area from the left side to deny Lublin’s Adam Ratajczyk a clear sight on goal.
Ultimately, neither side could break the deadlock with the derby match ending 0 – 0.
Śląsk Wrocław is a Polish side playing in Poland’s top tier, the PKO Ekstraklasa.
The return to full fitness of Musonda will come as boost for Śląsk, who are vying for a 4th place finish with two matches left to play before the close of the season.
They lie 7th on the league table with 39 points – two points behind 4th placed Lechia Gdańsk.
