Players Abroad – Lubambo scores brace, Mwepu and Patson are Champions as Jacob, Sunzu and Evans suffer humiliating defeats

 

Zambian players abroad were in a room for their respective clubs and posted different results with Lubambo Musonda netting a brace while Lubinda,Patson and Nathan netted a goal each.

In South Africa, Players had an off weekend.

In DR Congo, Nathan Sinkala scored a penalty as TP Mazembe recorded a 4-1 victory of ES Setif in their opening match of the CAF champions league group stage.

Defender Kabaso Chongo put in a full ninety minute shift while Rainford Kalaba played the last 24 minutes.

In Tanzania, Lubinda Mundia scored a goal for Singinda in their four nil AZAM Tanzania premier league win over Njombe Mji.

In Austria, Patson Daka set up an equaliser and scored the winner for FC Liefering in their three goals to two win over Hartberg.

Midfield ace Enock Mwepu set up the equaliser for Red Bull Salzburg who came from behind to beat Sturm Graz by four goals to one and win the Austrian Bundesliga for the .

In Armenia, Wing Wizard Lubambo Musonda scored a brace for Gandzasar Kapan. Kapan emerged victorious in a seven goal thriller winning by four goals to three against Pyunik. The two goals take him to eight for the season as the Club’s top goal scorer.

In Belgium, Midfielder Emmanuel Banda put in a full ninety minute shift for KV Oostende in their two nil Europa league play off win over bottom placed Beerschot-Wilrijk.

In China, Jacob Mulenga played the full ninety minutes for Liaoning Kaixin who suffered a six nil thumping at the hands of Meizhou Meixian Techand

In Israel, Defender Emmanuel Mbola was rested by Hapoel Rana’ana for their four nil win over Hapoel Ashkelon . Striker Emmanuel Mayuka made the match day squad.

In Portugal, Former Zanaco striker Moses Phiri was an unused substitute for Sporting Covalhã for their one nil win over Gil Vicente.

Winger Kenneth Kalunga put in a full ninety minute shift for Sporting de Esmoriz in their 3-1 loss Beira-Mar.

In Russia, Striker Fashion Sakala put in a full ninety minute shift for Spartak Moskva II whosuffered a two goals to one defeat at the hands of Tyumen.

Defender Stophila Sunzu played the full ninety minutes while striker Evans Kangwa played the first 59 minutes in Arsenal Tula’s six nil humiliation at the hands of CSKA Moskva.

In the US, Defender Prosper Chiluya is expected to be in action for Bethlehem Steel FC who face Richmond Kickers tomorrow.

  1. Big Steve. I hope it means European football for the club. At the very least they should be in the preliminary Champions League stage. Great opportunity for Mwepu to showcase his talent.
