An Idriss Mbombo double earned Nkana maximum points as they ended Kabwe Warriors’ eight match unbeaten run with a 2-0 win.
After a stalemate first half which saw the home side dominate, the Congolese forward broke the deadlock six minutes after the break after he headed a Joseph Musonda free kick into the back of the net.
Just before the hour mark, Mbombo beat a cluster of defenders to make it 2-0 for his fifth league goal of the season.
Last season Mbombo also scored a brace for Zesco United on his return to the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.
Nkana are now third placed on 19 points while Warriors are a point behind and on fifth.

Chris Kaunda’s has taken his unbeaten run to four matches recording back to back wins including Sunday’s narrow win over Nchanga Rangers thanks to a Stewart Chikandiwa early goal.
The Police outfit are now 6th on 17 points while Rangers are just a point above the relegation zone with 11 points.
