Croatian duo join Chipolopolo bench

The Chipolopolo bench has been boosted with the arrival of the physical trainer and the goalkeeper coach.

Physical trainer Hruose Matijevic and goalkeeper coach Gabric Tonol have arrived in the country and already gotten down to work.

The two were part of a locally assembled Chipolopolo
side’s training session at Lusaka’s National Heroes Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

In an hour long training session, Matijevic took charge of stretching and conditioning.

Head coach Aljosa Asanovic and his two assistants Karol Prazenica and Stephen Ceravic (who is also video analyst ) then took charge of the session.

While the outfield players were with Asanovic, Gabric was busy with the goalkeepers.

Gabric took Power Dynamos goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga, Nkana’s Kelvin Malunga and Charles Kalumba of Red Arrows through their paces.

Zambia leave for Bahgdad tonight ahead of Saturday’s friendly match against Iraq.

The match against Iraq will be played outside the FIFA window and will feature an exclusive assemblage of local players that the coach wants to refine with his focus also on the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers set for June/July.
