Zambia national team striker Patson Daka continued his hot scoring form as he netted a brace this evening to help Redbull Salzburg to a 4-2 win over WSG Swarovski Tirol.
Salzburg was looking to continue their winning streak in the league as they traveled to Innsbruck to face Swarovski Tirol in a week 17 Austrian Bundesliga League encounter at the Tivoli Stadion Tirol.
Salzburg however was trailing just after ten minutes thanks to a long-range strike by Fabian Koch. Patson Daka however leveled matters in the 31st minute, A pong ball from Albert Vallci found its way to Patson Daka, who was faster than everyone else on the ball, rounded the WSG goalie, and equalized in style, 1-1.
WSG was back in the lead on the 78th minute with a Nikolai Baden Frederiksen goal from the penalty spot. The lead however was short-lived as Mergïm Berisha leveled matters a minute later with a rebound from close range.
Patson Daka put the defending Champions in the lead for the first time in the match in the 89th minute with a fine finish from within the area. Sekou Koita sealed the result with a goal in additional time.
Midfielder Enock Mwepu put in a good 69-minute shift before being withdrawn for Brendan Aaronson.
