Patson Daka, Jesse Marsch could soon reunite

Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka could reunite with his former coach Jesse March should everything go the way it’s heading in Leicestershire.

The American is now odds-on favourite to be Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Leicester, two months after he was sacked from his position at Elland Road

It has now been almost a week since the Foxes confirmed that they had parted ways with Brendan Rodgers by mutual agreement.

The 50-year-old left following a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Crystal Palace on Saturday – Jean-Philippe Mateta’s 94th minute goal condemning them to a fifth loss in six matches.

That result also saw City fall into the relegation zone. They were unable to climb out of the bottom three thanks to another 2-1 loss against Aston Villa on Tuesday night.

Daka and Marsch enjoyed success at RB Salzburg where they won back-to-back league and cup doubles in Austria.

Daka was on song during Marsch’s reign at the Redbull Arena and could help the Zambian international find his scoring boots should he get the Leicester top job.

Other managers who have been linked with the vacant Leicester City job are former Chelsea boss Graham Potter, Martin O’Neill and Rafael Benitez.
