Patson Daka in Manchester City challenge…As six Zambians are expected in action across Europe

Six Zambian players are expected to be in action this afternoon with striker Patson Daka engaged in the big curtain-raiser in the English Premier League, The Community Shield.

Fashion Sakala Jnr and his FC Rangers teammates will be back in action for their second league game of the season while Enock Mwepu and his Brighton and Hove Albion teammates face Spanish La Liga side, Getafe in a Friendly match.

Striker Patson Daka will be looking to lead the Foxes to their first silverware of the season when they take on favorites Manchester City in the Community Shield at the legendary Wembley Stadium.

Daka opened his account for Leicester City in the 3-3 draw against Queens Park Rangers and will be eager to announce his arrival in England at the big stage and there is no bigger team at the moment than the Champions.

Paul Tierney is set to be the man in the middle for the FA Community Shield at Wembley, assisted by Ian Hussin and Neil Davies, with Peter Bankes appointed as the fourth official. Nick Hopton is the reserve assistant referee, with Darren England and Dan Robathan acting as the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) and assistant VAR respectively.

The Foxes recorded a 5-2 win over the Citizens at Etihad Stadium before suffering a 2-0 loss at King Power Stadium.

The Computer, Enock Mwepu is expected to start in midfield for Brighton and Hove Albion in their final friendly match ahead of the 2021/2022 English Premier League season.

Graham Potter is likely to partner Mwepu with Yves Bissouma and Adam Lallana in the middle of the park.

The Seagulls will, however, be without Danny Welbeck, Dan Burn, and Tariq Lamptey while Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk, and Leandro Trossard are all available having been unavailable for the last two games.

Mwepu opened his goal-scoring account for Brighton last month when he scored in the 3-1 win over Luton Town.

Fashion Sakala jnr will be looking to open his Scottish Premier League goal account as he travels to Tannadice Stadium with his FC Rangers teammates to face Dundee United.

Sakala put in an impressive shift on matchday one, playing 70 minutes in the 3-0 thumping of Livingston FC at Ibrox last Saturday.

Sakala already scored his first goal for the Light Blues when he netted the equalizer in FC Rangers 2-1 win over La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Steven Gerrard is expected to line up Sakala in attack alongside Kelly. Ianis Hagi is unavailable however Roofe and Kamara are available to return to the group.

Zambian trio of striker Evans Kangwa, Midfielder Klings Kangwa, and winger Lameck Banda is expected to be in action when Arsenal Tula welcomes Krylya Sovetov Samara at the Stadion Arsenal.

Tula is in search of their first win of the season having lost their opening two games 3-1 to Lokomotiv Moscow and 3-0 to Rubin Kazan.

Klings may start from the bench having played with the youth side barely 24 hours ago where he scored a brilliant free kick in the 3-2 loss to Zenit St. Petersburg Youth side.
