Steve Cooper has reached an agreement to be the new Leicester head coach.
Cooper, 44, has been out of work since being sacked by Nottingham Forest last December; former Brighton and Chelsea boss Graham Potter was also on the Foxes’ managerial shortlist.
Enzo Maresca left the Foxes job after guiding the club back to the Premier League.
Maresca has since joined Chelsea.
Before Maresca’s departure to London, Zambian striker Patson Daka was considered surplus to requirement at King Power Stadium.
Leicester City will open their 2024/25 season against Tottenham Hotspur at home before facing Aston Villa away at a Villa Park.
A home tie against Fulham will conclude their August fixtures.
