Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka could make only his third start in 2023 this evening when Leicester City welcome Blackburn Rovers in the Emirates FA Cup.
Daka has only made two starts in 2023 which was the 2-0 loss to Newcastle United on January 10th and the Carabao Cup appearance at Bescot Stadium against WalSall 18 days later.
With Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho finding his scoring boots and Daka going through a dry spell, The Zambian International’s game time has dropped immerselly.
Brendan Rogers is expected to tinker around with his team this evening and Daka could start ahead of aging City legend, Jamie Vardy.
Blackburn Rovers stand in the way of Leicester City booking their place in the quarter-finals, with the Lancashire outfit arriving at King Power Stadium for Tuesday’s fifth round tie (7:30pm GMT kick-off).
Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side have gathered momentum in recent weeks, with Rovers sitting inside the Sky Bet Championship’s top six and fighting for promotion to the top-flight following three successive wins and just one defeat this calendar year.
