Patson Daka assists in Leicester City loss to Fulham

Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka contributed with an assist in Leicester City’s disappointing 5-3 loss to Fulham on Monday.

The Zambian international came off the bench to replace Jamie Vardy in the 76th minute to play the last 16 minutes at Craven Cottage.

Daka took advantage of a loose ball from Leno to set up Harvey Barnes for his second goal but it was a little too late.

Willian and Tom Cairney hit braces for the Cottagers, with Carlos Vinícius also on the scoresheet.

Although the home side always had a comfortable distance between them and the Foxes, Harvey Barnes netted twice too, while James Maddison struck from the penalty spot. Jamie Vardy also had a spot-kick saved in a high-scoring top-flight clash in west London.

After the loss on Monday, The Foxes drop to 18th in the Premier League, with three matches to play, following wins for 16th-placed Nottingham Forest and Everton in 17th. Forest are now three points clear of City, while Everton hold a two-point advantage.

Next up for Dean Smith’s Men is Liverpool who are the visitors to King Power Stadium next Monday (8pm kick-off).

It’s a trip to Newcastle United on Monday 22 May (8pm kick-off), before West Ham United are on Filbert Way for the final day on Sunday 28 May (4:30pm kick-off).
