Zambian international Patson Daka endured another frustrating afternoon as Hamburger SV suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
Daka started the encounter but was unable to help HSV find a breakthrough as Leipzig ran riot at the Red Bull Arena.
The Chipolopolo Boys forward lasted 73 minutes before making way for Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira.
The defeat compounds what has been a difficult spell for HSV, who have now suffered three consecutive Bundesliga defeats without scoring a single goal.
HSV’s recent run reads:
❌ Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Hamburger SV
❌ Mainz 5-0 Hamburger SV
❌ RB Leipzig 5-0 Hamburger SV
Across those three matches, HSV have conceded 12 goals while failing to find the back of the net.
For Daka, the difficult run will be particularly frustrating as he continues to lead the line for a side struggling for attacking momentum.
Hamburger SV will now have to quickly regroup ahead of their next Bundesliga fixture against FC Köln, with a response urgently needed to halt their slide.
