Zambian striker Patson Daka has continued his goal-scoring prowess after he scored the third goal in Redbull Salzburg’s 5-1 win over Sturm Graz on Wednesday.
Hungarian midfield ace Dominik Szoboszlai was the hero of the day as he netted a first-half hat-trick. Szoboszlai opened the lead in the eighth minute with a brilliantly taken freekick leaving the Graz goalkeeper with no chance.
The Hungarian teenage midfielder doubled the lead two minutes later with a well taken left-footed strike inside the earlier after receiving a well-timed pass from Zlatko Junuzovic. Sturm Graz pulled one back in the 16th minute after Stefan Hierlânder’s free-kick bounced awkwardly in front of Stankovic to make it 2-1.
Salzburg however restored their lead just five minutes later as Patson Daka scored from close range finishing off Karim Adeyemi’s shot which hit the crossbar. Things turned from bad to worse for Graz two minutes to half time as Szoboszlai scored a beauty from outside the 18-yard area.

At halftime coach, Jesse Marsch made two changes withdrawing Patson Daka and Majid Ashmeru for Margïm Berisha and Enock Mwepu who put in a fantastic 45-minute shift playing both in midfield and defense.
The second half was a bit slow as Salzburg failed to utilize the chances they created with Berisha missing a number and Szoboszlai failing to finish off an easy chance. Hee-Chan Hwang completed the 5-1 mauling with a fantastic finish from inside the box.
Patson Daka remains two goals behind Shon Zalman Weissman who scored today to move to 24 while Patson comes in second with 21 goals, Eight in the last six games.
