Former national team coach George ‘Chicken’ Lwandamina says he is a patriotic Zambian who is ready to take up the Chipolopolo job if offered.
Lwandamina and Wedson Nyirenda have emerged as potential successors to Croatian Aljosa Asanovic, who quit on Sunday citing contractual breaches by Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).
Zambia Football Coaches Association has implored FAZ to appoint a local coach to take charge of the Chipolopolo.
Lwandamina, who is Super League side Kabwe Warriors trainer, is not a stranger to the national team set-up.
“I am a patriotic Zambian,” Lwandamina responded yesterday when asked if he can take up the national team job.

Wedson Nyirenda would be a perfect coach because he will build a team for many years to come and win some trophies along the way. Mr. Kamanga bring Wedson in
I agree 100%
I agree…
Going for local coach it will be am act of desperation.
They’re both given chances in the past and they failed. Let’s try someone new not the two. If it’s Wedson he’s just good at talk when not in charge but when given a chance he does the opposite. Lwandamina thinks he knows it all and never gets advice from anyone. Very stubborn man and fails every time he’s given a chance. Please ba Faz if you want a local coach then let’s try someone new not these failed projects of abena Lwandamina.
Patrice is the right candidate.. he brings in professionalism… locals they dont like to work with professionals…
This is ridiculous. You can’t function like this, Zambia has more coaches than Chelsea
Give the job to Kamanga himself
Ba Kamunga needs substupiti katwishi nga ni subshituti awe we are tired nama sub ya kakochi
