Optimistic Sate Sate jets out to Egypt

Chipolopolo striker Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba yesterday left for Egypt to complete his move to Wadi Degla FC.

Sate Sate who many feel that his move out of the country was long overdue said he had a lot more offers but settled for Wadi Degla FC and was hoping for a successful stint in the Arab country.

“I am leaving to go and look at the terms and conditions of the contract. It feels good and I hope I can break through and make it with a good deal,” said Kampamba before departure at Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola.

Kampamba is accompanied by club secretary Kenny Mwansa who said they settled for the Egyptian club as it gives the player a chance to break into Europe.

“He is going to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical and as a club we are happy with what has been put on the table. He has better chances of breaking into the European league once he shows discipline and he continues to score goals. We are aware Wadi Degla FC has links in Europe,” Mwansa said.

    • Your mentor, Paradox is exhibiting his ignorance in football. You are following the wrong guy. No surprise, u don’t seem to be smart .

  1. What we have to accept is that we don’t have the quality Ghana has. These u-17 and u-20 afcon coming up must be taken seriously we have to qualify for both world cups I cannot stress how important this is. If we don’t qualify for the world youth championships and expose our boys to the best clubs in europe we will keep going out in round 1 of afcon. As for a coach we need a new coach now Janza should not be allowed to continue. He failed us by not selecting quality central midfielders.

  2. After Lubambo, this is one Zambiam talent that impresses me.
I wish you well and I hope Egypt is only a stepping stone to launch you unto the European limelight.
    Go high Sate Sate!!!

  3. I will never understand why our players keep on going to such mediocre leagues. The Egyptian league is finished. SATE SATE should have gone to a more competitive league in Europe. He will end up rooting in that DESERT!

  4. Firstly I would like to express my appreciation to Zamfoot for the great work they are doing. They are feeding us with good information which most Zambian news do not. However Zamfoot can be more exciting if they regularly interviewed players finding out how they are performing and their views why Chipolopolo was knock out like the way the late great Zambian boxer Lottie Mwale used to knock out his opponent.
    Keep it up Zamfoot

  5. Not a good move for sate sate,I wish he would have stayed a bit in Zambia and wait for better clubs to offer interest.not that mediocre club.Anyway all the best.

  6. Can anyone mention one midget who has made it big time as a renowned striker in the world? Sate Sate is a midget and at the same time a paper weight!

    • That’s just wrong and mean spirited to refer someone’s child as a midget. Messi is not tall, Hazard is not tall, maradonna was not tall, Oba goal is not tall, Rooney is no way the tallest strikers out there, so if one is skilled and energetic then they can play with anybody.

        • Clearly Anita posted the comment without applying her/his mind or even doing some basic research on the height of some of the world’s best players. There are many many players of Sate Sate’s stature plying their trade in the best leagues in the world. But obviously Anita is one of those critics with a very narrow focus on the game as such they will only know two or three players. So I think the best example is the Messi example because Anita may not even know who Hazard is. So Anita a bit of education coming your way via Zamfoot…….Messi is a very short guy but is arguably the best player the game of soccer has seen in the last decade. Get your story right before making retarded comments.

    • Romario was not tall; Aguero is not tall; Silva is not tall. Alexis Sanchez is not tall. What matters is the skill. Like TC Soccerman said. Lets exercise respect as we blog. The people we mention in these blog are real and are human beings like us.
      PEACE!!!!

      • Billy. Thank you so much for pointing that out. Some people act like they don’t watch football. Maradona, Messi, Tevez all small. With Messi and Maradona being some of the greatest of all time. Sate Sate is small, but if he can work on his strength on the ball then he will be fine. Also, if he can put the ball in the net then who cares.

  7. SATE SATE is not great material. i would be pleasantly surprised if he makes it in Egypt. Anyhow the naivety of Zambian soccer fans is out of this world. The standard of coaching in this country is very low compared to say South Africa, Egypt, Ghana and most Arab countries. And you expect Sate to receive an offer from a European country! Gimme a break dummies! Those players u see from West Africa most of them broke thru via European youth academies not direct from Africa. What we should pray for is to have a good number of our U17 and U20 to impress at the youth games. Thereafter arrange for loan attachments to well organised youth leagues in Europe for about 2 years. Depending on each players perfomance during that period, thats when the boys may be attached to lower league teams. I believe thats the route we should follow and thats how come our west African brothers have managed to have large pools of well exposed players. First and foremost the greedy attitude in our admnistrators should be dealt with so that cashing in on our youth players should be the last consideration.
A very good example is Kolo Toure. He was sold, frpm CIV, to a team in France for US $10,00.00. Two years later Arsenal came in at US $ 10,000,000. The chap would have languished in CIV if the officials were as corrupt as ours here. Gentlemen lets give our poor boys a chance!

  8. @ slim spot on. the problem we have is visionless officials who are just after a quick buck. evans and sate sate should have gone to Europe after the cosafa under 20. attached to good academies and by now it would have been a deferent story.it all starts with the late lota who was sold to two clubs, litana who was supposed to be in france ended up in Saudi Arabia, lets not even talk about dauglus mwamba. the list is endless when it comes to administrative flaws.

  9. @ slim has hammered the nail on the head. Kalusha must ensure those u-17 and u-20 boys qualify for the world youth championships. Lubambo musonda and patson daka must be playing in top European leagues by next season. Man United, barcelona, real Madrid, bayern Munich and Chelsea will have their scouts at the world youth cup. If we want to win afcon 2017 we must ensure that these guys are seen at the world youth cup and spotted by scouts.

  10. I don’t see a team with local players winning afcon again the time for flukes is over. Only teams with European stars will win afcon. Zambia is nowhere near the level of ivory Coast or Ghana. We must forget the world cup and winning afcon if we can’t export to Europe. The under 20 and 17 must perform and ensure they qualify we don’t want excuses from faz.

    • Wow John you are speaking highly of I.Coast…..what happened to the remarks of them making the biggest mistake hiring HR and how he was such a useless coach and they would fire him soon and how they would not make it at Afcon and all those other negative things you said about them when they hired HR……what has caused the change of heart/mind.

  11. Ba Anita you are frustrated, the team where Sate Sate has gone to rumor has it , the own is well connected to Arsenal, and he owns a club in Belgium. Sate Sate is lethal striker who when given two chances he will manage to score one or both. The only striker in football history to score two goals in 24 hours for his Country and His Club. Let be proud of our boy, if your child is dull in class that does not guarantee you not emulate his friends or classmates who are better performers. We dont have strikers who lethal like him in our country at the moment, except, Kangwa and Patson Daka! Other strikers that I cannot mention names here can only manage to score one goal out of 5 chances and keep praising them. Lets be fair all the players are belong to Zambia and their parents are Zambians. We must not embarrass ourselves to level where foreigners can even take advantage to insult our players on this platform like yo player has a big head. Its one Zambia one Nation only watchdog and other useless online medias is where you can find bloggers who are not level headed. My apologies if I mean to strip you naked in my vocabulary.

  12. Kay Hummer we are still waiting on your take on the “stubborn and useless HR”…..please enlighten us with your vindicated spade is a spade and not a big spoon comments about how stubborn and useless HR is and how I.Coast made a big mistake hiring him.

  13. and wat is thses ghanains want. if they win afcon, u will all see wat they will be writting here. but anyway their fairy tale will end in the semis

    • Your stupidity lives on. Your earlier prediction was Ghana would be the first to pack home. They are now in the semis & u are not ashamed to comment again.
Look up to ROK & POSITIVE THINKING

    • This is not a fluke semi like our 2012 trophy. Ghana has been at the semis for the past 10 years. How many times have we been there? STOP THE NONSENSE & GROW UP, paradox

  14. he had other job offers? from were? why did he chose to go to egypt? education is a very important thing today and gone are the days players would thrive on soccer alone wuthout a basic education. it adds to the probability of a player going far.

    • He had offers from Super Sport United and Platinum stars in the PSL. The Platinum stars deal actually went through but he wanted to see if he will get better offers if he had a good showing at Afcon so he turned it down.

  15. @paradox, do not try and justify here that herve is a good coach. herve is crap. anyone can coach ivory coast lying down. herve just happens to be in the right place thez nothing special about this clueless charlatan

      • @ Billy why am I not surprised now they come back with Ivory Coast is a good team any coach can coach. That line is so outdated and yet some people continue to use it. Egypt was a good team and a few coach changes and they cant even qualify for Afcon. Nigeria have a solid coach and solid players but cant qualify, why because of stupid politics…… So Mr Dummy sorry Stumpy, you can have the best players but without proper coaching direction the team will achieve nothing…..learn a thing or two. Africa has an immense quantity of astute professionals and yet the continent is in a crap state…why? Leadership directing these resources is poor. Coaching applies to all aspects of life so please drop the redundant line that anybody can coach a team as long as it has good players.

    • if he wins the afcon, most likely he will send the black stars team back to the stone age if the black stars???? qualify to the finals, wat will u say looking at the other coaches who has led ivory coast in the past with players at their peak but failed. renard is leading diminishing legs so far in the finals

  16. @big steve , what anita said is very corect. its not just the height its the bulk. messi has bulk so has hazard and so did maradonna. sate is just too small but then u cant notice u dont watch soccer thats why u are always wrong.

    • Pitroipa is turning heads in France ligue 1 and was one of the most outstanding performers in Afcon 2013 South Africa and yet he has just about the same build as Sate Sate. Whats your take on that Mr. always correct????

      • Pitroipa has the height to compensate for his small body built. All the players that the others blogers mentioned to disagree with me are bulky or at least much bigger than your Sate Sate and this compensates for their short heights. U will disagree with me on this if only u have never watched these people! Sate Sate is short and very tiny (paper weight).

  17. stumpy is an intelligent guy who is very knowladgable concerning words that r not too common but its in the manner he uses these words. he has jst refered renard as a charlatan, meaning renard is a swindler, who uses deception to get wat he wants

    • How can a fool like u know who is intelligent? Don’t deceive yourself . Zambias lack of progress is partly attributable to idiots like you.

  18. The Siya crew can confirm that Orlando Pirates will add a Zambian international into their striking ranks when the PSL resumes for the Parktown-based club on Wednesday, February 11.

TRANSFER NEWS – Get it By Clicking Here!

Earlier today, Bucs mentor, Eric Tinkler confirmed that the Buccaneers had signed a young Zambian striker by the name of Musonda, who is yet to join the rest of the squad as he is still sorting out his work permit.

“Yes, we have brought in a new striker to add more depth and quality upfront, ” said Tinkler at the club’s media briefing.

“He is quality and was discovered by ‘Jazzy Queen’ Legodi’s Academy. He can shoot with both feet from distance and very quick, hopefully we hope he will give us the added depth and competition we need amongst the strikers,” added Tinkler.

    • Who is that Musonda boy? Just trying to think of any striker from Zambia by the name of Musonda. Maybe it’s Lubambo, but I doubt it.

  19. Orlando Pirates Football Club are in discussions with Zambian international striker, Mwape Musonda, with the player attending today’s training session with the club. Can Musonda solve Bucs’ goalscoring problem? http://goo.gl/5ZOprD

  20. Romario was not tall; Aguero is not tall; Silva is not tall. Alexis Sanchez is not tall. What matters is the skill. Lets exercise respect as we blog and we shouldn’t call others midgets, etc. The people we mention in these blogs are real and are human beings like us.
    PEACE!!!!

  21. Big Steve and all the Herve Renard boot lockers why are you acting as if ivory Coast is reaching the semi final of afcon for the first time? One thing you need to get into your skills is that ivory Coast will always get out of their group at afcon with or without Renard. Ivory Coast has quality players and has already won afcon before. Ivory Coast was in the final in 2006 and 2012. Why are you behaving as if Renard is the cause of Ivorian success when we all know it’s quality on the pitch. Ivory Coast went to the world cup in 2006, 2010 and 2014 why are you behaving clueless. Ivory Coast is star studded stop with the Renard boot licking he is a pathetic coach.

    • @John, Swallow your pride, Renard is about to add a silverware in his closet, while favorite(or atleast favorite when he was calling clubless Fwayo) is busy drinking Chibuku kwa John Lenge.

    • Dude you are clueless, and you really hate HR, could you compare clueless Janza with HR, Janza that could not even read a game and make subs when required? even the commentator was wondering if Janza had the ability to coach a club team let alone Chipolopolo.

    • Janza is not average, Janza is clueless, but of course you refer that to mistake when he takes lil kids to Africa cup instead of experience in forms of Kola, Jacob and Chris.

  22. People are ridiculous. Atti Messi has bulk. Where is this bulk?

The guy is 1.69m and weighs 67 kgs
Maradona had bulk because he was 1.65m and weighed 100kgs. You can even see a picture of Messi…no bulk.

Atta. Saying things in this information age out of your behind is not going to help you.

  23. As for John.

Calling people HR bootlickers because they present you facts is childish. There are those who are seeing this objectively (something that you lack when it comes to Renard) and then there’s you. You Sir are the Renard “HATER” and that is your problem.

Ivorycoast were knocked out in the quarter finals in 2013, so yes making the semi finals is an achievement. Have you ever managed or supervised a team or group project??? Have you ever managed people with type A personalities or dealt with different egos? All this is a job of a team manager. You guys talk like you live in a bubble or you have personal issues against HR.

Love him or hate him, the guy gets the job done. You have to respect that fact. I don’t understand how someone can on one end say that Janza is useless and a problem, but then on the other say that Herve Renard has no bearing on Ivorycoast making the semis. I just scratch my head as I eat my cereal with my spade.

  24. Big Steve and Billy. There are some people who are stuck on hating one Herve Renard. These are the same people who said Zambia would have won AFCON in 2012 regardless of who was in charge, because it was our time. Can you honestly think you can talk sense to people living with that kind of logic.

The same with people who see Sate Sate and say he is too small to be successful. Like they have not seen Messi or Tevez play. Even our own Dennis Lota was not a big guy, but look at how effective he was in the national team. Kuti wa fulwa mwe.

  25. Herve Renard is a pathetic coach who could not even beat Ethiopia yet Burkina Faso and Nigeria walloped Ethiopia. Renard is hopeless ivory Coast has never failed to get out of the group stage of afcon since 2006 who told you Renard is defining factor. Janza was in a tough group. Some of you clowns were insulting him for drawing with drc yet the Drc is one of the best in africa with the best strikers in africa bokila and mbokani. Renard is pathetic end of story.

  26. When DR Congo beats Ivory Coast 4-3 in Abijan in afcon qualifiers, john and kaya hummer said Renard will be fired soon and said they will be vindicated, Ivorycoast under Renard is doomed and will not qualify, bla bla bla!
These two always speaks emotionery coz there is no coordination in what they say btwin their brains and mouths.

  27. mumbi,if you dont know the implication of what you just posted on gsn, then i am telling you that pray ghanaian authorities who relate to gyan does not read it since gsn is widely read in ghana.if you think you can sit behind the internet and accuse gyan of using his friend for blood sacrifice without any evidence then am sorry, you can be traced and sued.here is ghana and if all that zambia education produce is antiquated and primitive minded people like you, then the country has no future..you can even be striked with something you fear for wrong allegation.our finqers are crossed and since you wont stop posting rubbish on the site, then prepare for massive shake up.some body can hate zambians because of you and remember that no one knows who will be in a position to help.

  28. Big Steve & Positive Thinking :

I love you guys for the mature way you analyze soccer. If it wasn’t for some of you guys, this site would have been so boring with the HR haters churning out the same repetitive unsubstantiated statements. It is very annoying/boring that people can go on for years and years condemning an innocent soul like HR. Even when he has left our country they still continue with scorn and abuse. Shame on these guys. I suppose they should direct their attention on how best Zambian soccer standards can be revamped. Time to continuously criticize HR is long gone. Please guys
