Zambia’s opponents in next month’s World Cup qualifier, Morocco have named a strong squad to face Niger and the Chipolopolo Boys in back to back World Cup qualifiers led by UEFA Champions League winner Acraf Hakimi.
The biggest name in the squad is undoubtedly the PSG right back Acraf Hakimi but Regragui has also handed a first time call up to midfielder Neil El Aynaoui.
Others are Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz,Fenerbahçe’s Youssef En-Nesyri, Azzedine Ounahi, Sofyan Amrabat and Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss.
The list also includes Mohamed Chibi of Pyramids, Utrecht left-back Soffian El Karouani, Bournemouth’s Amine Adli, Villarreal’s Ilias Akhomach and Sunderland winger Chemseddine Talbi.Hakim Ziyech however misses out on the squad.
In the reverse fixture, Morocco beat Zambia 2-1 with goals from former Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech and Monaco’s Ben Seghir.
Zambia will host Morocco at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Monday ,September 8th.
The Chipolopolo Boys are on six points after winning against Congo Brazzaville and getting free points off the same opponent after they were temporarily banned by FIFA because of third-party interference in the affairs of the country’s football association (Fecofoot).
Meanwhile the Atlas Lions of Morocco lead the group with 15 points after five wins from their first five games.
