Olympic Qualifiers: Ghana beat Benin to set up meeting with Zambia 

The Zambia Women’s National Team  will face Ghana’s Black Queens in the  third round of the Paris 2024 Women’s Olympic Qualifiers. 

This is after Ghana beat Benin 2-0 and 5-0 on aggregate to set up the mouth watering duel. 

A second half strike from Evelyn Badu and an own goal minutes later sealed a 5-0 aggregate win for Nora Hauptle’s side at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In the first leg, Doris Boaduwaa opened the scoring for the Black Queens in the 45th minute from the penalty spot before Grace Assifuah bagged a five-minute brace to wrap up the scoring.

For Zambia, The Copper Queens qualified following the withdrawal of second round opponents Mali.

Zambia and Ghana will face off in February, 2024 for a slot in the final of the Olympic Qualification tournament. 

The winner between Zambia and Ghana will face the winner between Tunisia and Morocco/Namibia for a place at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
