Zambia national football team acting head coach Wedson Nyirenda has announced a provisional squad of 23 players from the MTN FAZ Super League for a residential training camp to prepare for the 2018 Fifa World Cup Russia Group B qualifier with Cameroon.
Zambia is scheduled to play Cameroon on November 12.
Nyirenda told fazfootball.com on Saturday that the training camp will take place in Lusaka from Sunday, 16 October 2016.
“The residential camp will be held in Lusaka and it will be for a month. Foreign-based players will join us later but the door remains open for more local players to join us.
“After watching the Barclays semi-finals today, I think we will add one or two players to the list. But as of now we have invited 23 players,” said Nyirenda at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

No one wants to play friendly game with Zambia, because only thing they do is lose all the games, its waste of time
Wada please focus on central defense and midfield. Donashano Malama, adrian Chama, misheck Chaila, jack Chirwa. If you needed evidence there no players in zambia look at some of these players selected. Without pros this team would be skinned alive in cameroun. If i was in faz i would search europe for a proper central defender with some zambian roots. These local league chaps are terrible defenders. Even Munthali is suspect. Central midfield is also a gaping hole. Why the coaches dont see it amazes me. We only have Isaac and Singuluma. The local chaps again are terrible. Even Chisamba was terrible in that position against Nigeria. The other positions only need fine tuning. I do believe Kapumbu will be tested by Cameroun hope he does not fold like chama.
Soccer these days is played at a mental level, our players need to be prepared psychologically. These guys must be positive we need a life coach to do motivational talks to our players. Our players need confidence, mostly our players are skilled but they luck the confidence, technical skills and the anger, that’s why most Zambian players don’t make it in Europe.
The other thing is we need a strong technical bench which is able to study the opponent and map out a firm and clinical technical approach. Mostly when the Chipolopolo play I do not see any formidable technical strategy (the same with our clubs when they play on the international level “that is the main reason zesco united lost to mamelodi sundowns). If we employ cultured tacticians on the technical bench no team get it easy against us – Chipolopolo.

We need a strong box to box midfielder, Sinkala has been a disappointment at times but people cant see that
I feel for now there are only three positions that must be tempered with from the line up that started against Nigeria.Misheck Chaila must take the position of Sinkala.Kalengo’s position must be given to Jackson Mwanza who looks to have more pace than Kalengo. Definitely Adrian must not be seen anywhere in that defence. Mtonga is a better option. Am not sure about Munthali’s form this season.I feel Ba Joseph Musonda can do a better job also.Mbesuma needs a partner who is quick and accurate.Lastly, we need to play at least one good friendly game before we face Cameroun.Good Luck Wadawada.

Slim. I think Sinkala is being done a real disservice by the coaches. You can’t expect him to cover too much ground as the only defensive minded midfielder in that lineup against Nigeria.
Sinkala is in great need of a supporting midfielder, like Isaac Chansa did in 2012. Sinkala was not forced to make long passes and he was able to effectively marshal the ground he was given.
Recall Katongo Christopher central attack to partner with Jackson Mwanza,Mbesuma,Fwayo Tembo.
Defence recall Nkhausu,and Mbola
Defence Midfield Kapungu is good with sunzu.
