Numba credits players for win over Power Dynamos 

Kabwe Warriors head coach Numba Mumamba was quick to give credit to his players following their 2-0 win over Power Dynamos. 

The magnificent People’s team beat the defending Champions, 2-0 at the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium on Sunday afternoon. 

Goals from Mike Mwamba Mutombo and Ocean Mushure were enough to give the Magnificent People’s Team the vital points.

The win has the former Chipolopolo winger dreaming of a title chase but wants his side to take it a game at a time. 

“Credit goes to the players for the excellent performance against the defending champions. Our aim was to get the three points in this game which we have managed. We planned to kill the game in the first half, We scored the two goals and we defended the two goals,” Numba Mumamba said. 

“I think we have a chance to fight for the title. We just have to take each game as it comes. We have the players that can challenge for the title. All we need is to have the belief in ourselves and work hard on the pitch.” 

The win over the Nine time MTN Super League Champions has seen the Magnificent People’s team move up to third position on the log with 15 points. 

Next up for Numba Mumamba and his Kabwe Warriors side is Zesco United in Ndola with the game scheduled to be played at Trade Fair on Saturday 28 October, 2023.
