Kundananji on target for Madrid CFF in five goals thriller 

Zambia Women’s National Team striker Rachel Kundananji scored her fifth goal of the season as Madrid CFF beat Costa Adeje Tenerife 3-2.

Kundananji scored the second goal for the Capital City side who moved up to second on the log. 

Madrid CFF took the lead in the 37th minute through midfielder Aida Esteve Quintero beating Aline Reis in the Tenerife goal and opened the scoring by making it 1-0. 

Kundananji doubled the Madrid CFF lead in the 42nd minute after being put through on goal by Luany. 

Agus Barroso pulled a goal back for Tenerife in the 44th minute taking advantage of a loose ball in the area and beat Paola Ulloa to close the gap, 2-1. 

Kundananji who was always a thorn in the Tenerife defense was stretched out and replaced by  Cristina Libran in the 80th minute after Reis plunged into her. 

Tenerife finally equalized in the 85th minute thanks to a goal by Ijeoma Esther Okoronkwo. 

With the match set to go for a draw, Madrid pulled off a dramatic end to the game as a cross from Itziar Pinillos from the right wing found Laurita unmarked in the box and she took advantage to score, connecting a powerful shot to make it 3-2 and seall the win.

Next up for Madrid CFF is Levante UD who they will host  after the FIFA break.

Kundananji maintains her lead in the race for the golden boot with 5 goals. She has also managed to set up two goals so far.
