Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Division One Northern Province is back for 2020/21 and the season will kick off at week 9 with some exciting fixtures to look out for.
The ZamFoot Crew now looks at the mouth-watering encounters expected to take center stage in the Province.
CHISHIMBA GREEN EAGLES VS MPOROKOSO UNITED.
Eagles host Mporokoso United on Saturday in a match where both teams are coming from a rather quiet pre_season.
Eagles had a stint in the Chomba Chipili tournament but were knocked out in the round of 16 while Mporokoso United will be looking at the start from where they ended having finished 4th in the FAZ provincial cup.
ABERCORN VS MPAJI
Abercorn was the weeping boys last season but looking at how they have re-inforced, underate them at your own risk. They host Mpaji who have had a busy pre-season and the team is gaining momentum, having boosted their coaching bench, the spanner boys will be hoping to ride on their current form.
CHINTELELWE VS TAZARA BLUE STARS
The on-song Chintelelwe will host Tazara Blue Stars who are also on the rise. Banking on their current form Chintelwe will be looking at revenging their 2-1 loss against Blue Stars in the just ended Chipili Chomba Christmas tournament.
Blue Stars have reinforced their squad and have a different shape and strength compared to last season, this is definitely the game of the weekend.
ZESCO CHIEFS VS MALALO POLICE
After qualifying to division one as league leaders of division two Zesco Chiefs host the current provincial champions Malalo Police.
With the morale still high after winning the Chomba Chipili tournament Chiefs will be hoping to continue on a winning stride. Malalo is an experienced side and can fend off any pressure and will be banking on that vast experience to kick start another journey to the playoffs on a high.
