Israeli second-tier side Hapoel Nof HaGalil FC have officially confirmed the signing of Zambian striker Kennedy Musonda, as earlier reported by the ZamFoot Crew (see story on January 24, 2026).
The club announced the transfer via their official social media channels, ending weeks of speculation and securing the services of the 31-year-old forward. Musonda could make his debut tomorrow when Nof HaGalil travel to face Hapoel Kfar Saba in Liga Leumit.
Musonda, known for his physical presence and eye for goal, expressed his excitement about the move and readiness to take on the challenge in northern Israel.
โI’m happy to join the club and excited to start a new chapter in my career. I’m aware of the size of the challenge and can’t wait to go on the pitch in the colors of Hapoel Nof HaGalil,โ he said.
The striker arrives at Nof HaGalil after parting ways with fellow Israeli second-tier side Hapoel Ramat Gan Givatayim just six months into his contract. During that spell, Musonda contributed six goal involvements โ five goals and an assist โ in 22 appearances.
Musonda first joined Ramat Gan in July 2025 after departing Tanzanian powerhouse Young Africans SC at the end of his contract. While at Young Africans, he enjoyed notable domestic success, winning three league titles and playing in the CAF Confederations Cup final in the 2022/23 season.
On the international stage, Musonda played a key role for Zambiaโs Chipolopolo Boys, scoring four goals during the 2024 AFCON qualifying campaign to help secure qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, stepping up in the absence of injured fellow striker Patson Daka.
Before his successful spell in East Africa, Musonda forged his reputation in Zambia with stints at Power Dynamos, ZANACO, Green Eagles and Lusaka Dynamos, earning recognition for his strength and goal threat.
As Nof HaGalil look to climb the Liga Leumit standings, Musondaโs experience and finishing ability could prove to be a vital asset in their push for success this season.
