No movement for Chipolopolo on FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings

The Zambia national soccer team has remained static on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World rankings accordingly to the rankings released today.

The Chipolopolo remained stuck in the 76th position behind China and South Africa following a month of inactivity.

The Sven Vandebroeck coached side is currently ranked 16th in Africa.

Zambia’s last game was on 9th June 2018 when then care taker coach Beston Chambeshi watched his team lose 4 – 2 in extra time to Zimbabwe.

Zambia’s next opponents next month Namibia dropped one place to rank 117th in the world.

Tunisia remain the highest ranked African country in 24th position but like all other countries that represented Africa at the World Cup (apart from Senegal), the dropped places on the ladder.

  1. Yeah well, lets see what these will look like after the qualifiers. At this point the don’t mean squat. After the Afcon qualifiers they will mean a whole lot going into the world cup qualifiers.
