āThe Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) wishes to dispel media assertions that a ruling concerning crowd trouble during the Kitwe derby between Nkana Football Club and Power Dynamos Football Club played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on 20th April, 2025 has been released.
Kindly treat any reports to this effect as untrue and their content unfounded and malicious,ā FAZ General Secretary Reuben Kamanga said.

This comes as a reaction to an article making rounds online which claims that Nkana Football Club has been handed a shock demotion to the Copperbelt Provincial League and fined $100,000 following violent conduct by its supporters and players during a Week 32 Zambia Super League match against Power Dynamos at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
The Kitwe Derby descended into chaos after a penalty was awarded to Power Dynamos late in the match, prompting violent protests by Nkana fans who destroyed stadium seats.
