Zambia’s representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup, NAPSA Stars yesterday arrived in Nairobi, Kenya ahead of their First Leg match of the Pre-Group Stage against Gor Mahia set for Sunday.
The Pensioners left Zambia at 9:40hrs aboard a Kenya Airways flight and arrived in Nairobi at 15h00 local time (14h00) Zambian time, but spent two hours to get to the hotel owing to heavy traffic.
Coach Mohamed Fathi named a strong 23 member squad for the trip but there is no place for in-form striker Emmanuel Mayuka who has been instrumental for NAPSA in their Confederation Cup journey so far.

The former Southampton striker netted twice in their 9-2 aggregate demolition of Ngazi Sport in the preliminary round and also scored the all-important goal against UD Songo in Mozambique to send the Pensioners to the playoff round.
Tapson Kaseba, Laudit Mavugo, Chanda Mushili, and Enock Sabumukama have made the squad. Young midfield ace Jimmy Mukeya, Aaron Banda, and Doisy Soko have also made the cut.
Coach Fathi gave his boys some rest yesterday and they are expected to resume today.
Napsa Stars and Gor Mahia will go head to head on Sunday, February 14th at the Nyayo International Stadium in Nairobi with kick-off set at 14:00.

Why was Mayuka left out of the squad?
That’s right Godfrey that’s the question that needs an answer from all our club officials and coaches responsible for the teams: why have you dropped;
Mayuka
Kola
Chongo
Triple C
Chirwa
Sunzu
Kalaba
Mwape Musonda
Chibwe
Kalunga
Zambian coaches and club officials play “GOD” with our players. They appear the least bothered by the consequences of their actions
Too bad Mayuka is not with Napsa Stars for this important mission in Kenya. Is it because he is still recovering from the injury he sustained a few weeks ago?
So ba reporter, what was the reason for dropping Mayuka? Explanations without purpose to the headline
Emmanuel Mayuka is injured
