No deal for Mayuka at Krylya Sovetov

Chipolopolo striker Emmanuel Mayuka will not be joining Russian side Krylya Sovetov of Samara after failing to agree personal terms with the club.

Club General Director Vitaly Shashkova confirmed that they were unable to reach an agreement with the player and his agent.

“Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement with the player and his representatives on the conditions of the personal contract,” he said.

“I have no right to disclose commercial matters on the proposal. I can only say that we have not agreed on the terms of the contract,” – club Deputy Director General Zurab Tsiklauri who led the negotiations added.

Mayuka, a Southampton player, moved to England in 2012 but has fallen out favor at the club and has been asked to find a club by the Saints.

  1. So wht next which other club is interested in him?may be he must try a championship club like bunly watford and the likes

  2. Maybe they wanted him to ignore their racism in Russia, but he refused. Racist punks that’s how the majority of Russians are. He is better off going to France or to championship in England.

    • @tc soccerman, Mayuka was in France on loan for half a season and did nothing to impress even HR who was his coach

To add salt to injuiry Mayuka has not played so much football, meaning that a lot of Clubs would doubt his potential having not seen him in action at the Saints.

This is going to be a big issue and serious problem, the transfer window ends at the end of this month. Never the less we wait and see

  3. I am sure it is money issue. They must have tabled a contract with meagre salary/wage which is not ok with the player and his agent. But I can’t blame Samara too, Mayuka’s Soton stats is very bad. Pay cut is the only way out for him.

  4. Wise decision by Mayuka to reject slave conditions in the name of getting a club. If he doesn’t find a club before the transfer window closes, Southampton will still have the obligation of paying him since his contract is still valid. It is high time our African players started demanding just wages. Some African players have left Russia for non-payment of their wages like Emmanuel Emenike who headed for Turkey. To go to Russia where there is Racism, hostile weather and a difficult culture, one must be paid good money. Gift Kampamba played in Russia for many years and what did he get there?

    • You’re right. Only Samuel Eto’o earned million in Russia. And he never spent a long time there. He left Russia and moved on.

  5. Mayuka is not desperate. He needs to get paid he knows very well that he is a quality striker and a number of clubs want him therefore he will not subject himself to slavery. I can confirm a number of clubs are after him and this issue will be decided shortly.

  6. A fully fit Mayuka given game time is one of the deadliest in africa therefore his demands of 22,000 pounds a week should come as no surprise.

  7. i wil say wat i said about sunzu. our players lack mental prepardness. sunzu can only go to europe at the benovelence of herve renard. not by his determination and hardwork.
