Injury sidelines Chisamba Lungu

Chipolopolo midfielder Chisamba Lungu will be out of action for about two weeks after he sustained an injury,

The Ural FC captain confirmed the development in an interview with the ZamFoot Crew on Saturday morning.

“I have a knock, I pulled my muscle but its nothing too serious,” Chisamba told

“I will be out for 10 days and will miss two games, tomorrow (Sunday 16th August) and on 22nd August, but I hope to play the latter game because the coach wants me to play even this weekends game but the medical team has said no,” he added.

Chisamba has so far featured in all of his team’s four games this season and is expected to play a key role when Zambia plays the CAN qualifier in Kenya next month.

I am watching the ZPL league match between Forest Ranger and NAPSA Stars thanks to SS9. Its an eyesore to watch. I think to certain players, football is not their calling. They just force themselves on a talent that is not theirs. I can’t explain more. Its sad. No wonder we don’t have many good local players.
Having said that, Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is looking good, clean, nice and the pitch is excellent. Big up to the Stadium management. I eagerly I await the ZESCO vs Nkana game. Maybe it will be more interesting than the Forest vs Napsa match.

  3. I hv always wondered y Janza left Chisamba to warm the bench. Chisamba is an intelligent player who should start as he has the ability to open up opponents defences thus creating scoring chances for our current blunt frontline.
Every player fumbles ( 2013 AFCON ) but it’s the big picture we supposed to look at. Definitely one of the pillars of the Chipolopolo !

  4. Only hope its not an excuse not to come for national duty considering how the coaches in zambia have been benching one of our greatest talents
