High Flying Nkwazi handed Power Dynamos their fifth loss of the season while Kafue Celtic and Lusaka Dynamos shared spoils as so did Indeni and Konkola Blades.
The MTN Super League concluded week eight of action on Sunday with three matches taking center stage, a doubleheader at Edwin Imboela Stadium, and one match at the Cage, Indeni Sports Complex.
At Imboela, Lusaka Dynamos welcomed Youthful Kafue Celtic as they hoped to return to winning ways while Celtic was hoping to move up to second place on the log with a win.
Celtic started as a better side with Albert Kangwanda, Mwiza Siwale, and Peter Chikola combining well up front but could not find a way past Monga Ndala.
It was however Lusaka Dynamos who struck first as Marvin Jere rose highest to head home a corner just two minutes into the second half but Mwiza Siwale leveled matters from the penalty spot to make sure the two teams shared the spoils.
The second match of the day saw High Flying Nkwazi welcome Power Dynamos who were searching for their second win of the season.
After a very evenly matched affair, Luka Chamanga was unfortunate to put the ball past his keeper Jackson Kakuta with five minutes to go, granting Nkwazi a hard-worked 1-0 win.
At the Cage, A penalty from Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga and an own goal from Aaron Katebe made sure Indeni and Konkola Blades share spoils.
