Zambia’s representatives in the CAF Champions League Nkana will this morning travel to Angola for their first-round second leg clash against Petro de Luanda scheduled for tomorrow.
This comes after the Republican President, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu chipped in with a K2.1 Million to help facilitate travel to and from Angola. Nkana vice President Patrick Ndhlovu confirmed the development in an interview with ZNBC.
“I just want to thank the head of state his Excellency Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu this has come at a time we really needed money to go to Angola. This afternoon we were given about K2.1 million to ensure that we go to Angola,” he said.
The record 13-time Super League Champions will leave for Luanda, Angola this morning for the 2nd Leg of the Pre-Group Stage game against Petro Atletico set for tomorrow Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
The team takes off from
Ndola at 08:45hrs aboard a chartered into Solwezi then to Luanda. The game kick-off time tomorrow is 18:00 hrs CAT.
