Nkana, Mines and  FC Leopards continue search for first win of the season…As ZANACO visit Blades

Record 13 time Champions, Nkana, and newly promoted Mines United and FC Leopards will this afternoon continue their hunt for a first win of the season.

The trio together with Nkwazi and Kansanshi Dynamos are yet to record a win this season and are chasing Mufulira Blackpool’s record made back in 2016.

Kalampa are away to inconsistent Green Eagles at Choma’s Independence Stadium.

Nkana last won a game in May, 2-0 over Kabwe Warriors, their last game of last season meanwhile Perry Mutapa’s Eagles are unbeaten in their last three games.

Eagles have beaten Nkana four times in their last five meetings and will be eager to continue their dominance over the Kitwe giants.

In Kabwe, Mines United welcome FC MUZA as they hope to finally get their first win of the season.

The Council of Elders have only managed a single point this season, a goalless draw against Power Dynamos.

They are coming off a 5-0 thrashing at the hands of ZESCO United and face a FC MUZA side that is winless in their last three games and eager to get back to winning ways.

Biston Banda and Rickson Ng’ambi are expected to lead the charge for FC MUZA while young Yoram Kapowa , Isaac Ngoma and Nicholas Mulilo are likely to lead the Mines United attack this afternoon at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium.

In Chililabombwe, The Bankers, Sensational ZANACO are away to Konkola Blades as they look to cement their slot at the summit.

The Bankers will be without Malawian forward Chawananga Kaonga, Robert Saizi and Francis Mwansa who are not part of the match day squad.

The Bankers have only lost once to Konkola Blades in the last 15 meetings and will be hoping to continue on the same trajectory this afternoon.

Kelvin Kapumbu will face off with his former side as he continues to make a strong midfield partnership with Benjamin Saeli.

A win for ZANACO wm take them to 18 points while Konkola Blades could enter top five with a win over the Bankers.

At Arthur Davies Stadium, Mutondo Stars welcome Kabwe Warriors.

Mutondo have two wins and two draws in their last four games and face a Kabwe Warriors side that has won 3 of their last four games.

In the last four meetings, Kabwe Warriors have one win, same as Mutondo with two matches ending in draws.

In Lusaka, Red Arrows fresh from a 2-1 win over defending Champions, Power Dynamos welcome winless FC Leopards.

The Airmen are unbeaten in the league their last eleven matches since last season.

FC Leopards have managed five draws so far this season and face a side they have not beaten in their five previous meetings only managing one draw in that same time.
