Jimmy Ndhlovu finally got his elusive goal for Nkana when he put the icing on the cake as Nkana FC came from behind to beat 10 man Lusaka Dynamos 4 – 1 in Kitwe.
Lusaka Dynamos started well with some good passing and movement off the ball and they quickly got in front from the spot through a Thomas Kunda goal shortly after they had struck the upright from a corner. This was after young Conlyde Luchanga outpaced veteran Joseph Musonda who tackled the teen striker from behind in the box in what was a battle of the oldest and youngest in the league.
Nkana started the comeback through inspirational captain Donashano Malama whose cracking shot beat the Dynamos keeper before Jebel Sakala intentionally handled on the line to prevent a Simon Bwalya header from going in.
The referee pointed to the spot and reduce Dynamos to 10 men. Walter Bwalya stepped up to convert the resultant penalty.
Nkana were now in control and it was not long before a beautiful inter-change of passes into the box found Simon Bwalya one on one with the keeper and he lobbed the ball over the on coming keeper for Walter Bwalya to finish the ball on the line and claim the goal.
After the restart Nkana dominated but they had to wait until the referee’s optional time for them to add another and it was off the foot of Ndhlovu who marked his first goal in the league since returning to Nkana from his successful loan at Power Dynamos. He last scored on 20th June, 2015 when he netted a brace for Power Dynamos in a 3 – 1 home win over Nkwazi.
In Mufulira, Green Buffaloes’ good form has continued and taken them up to fourth on the log after they beat Nufulira Wanderers.
Buffaloes have now not lost in the last eight games only drawing twice.
