Forest Rangers and Buildcon have moved into the top four the following wins over Power Dynamos and Kabwe Warriors respectively while defending Champions, Nkana’s woes have deepened as they suffered their third straight defeat in the league.
Forest Rangers moved up to third on the log on Sunday afternoon, following a hard-fought 2-0 win over Perry Mutapa’s Power Dynamos. White Mwanambaba deflected a Webster Muzaza shot into his net in the 12th minute before birthday boy Daily Echabe could head in Muzaza’s corner in the 82nd minute to seal a 2-0 win.
The win means Fole Malembe who was playing in the absence of head coach Tenant Chilumba move up to 3rd place with 38 points while Power Dynamos move to 5th place.
Earlier in the day at the same venue, Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Kabwe Warriors suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of ten-man Buildcon.
Goals for Gerald Chisha and Musonda Kapembwa who opened his Buildcon goal account were enough to carry Team Kopala to victory and take them to fourth place on the log with 37 points.
Emmanuel Okutu was sent off late in the second half for a second bookable offense as Team Kopala finished the match with ten men.
In Solwezi, Emmanuel Manda’s tenth-minute goal was enough to hand Nkana their third straight loss and Lumwana Radiants their second win in a row.
In Lusaka, High Flying Nkwazi needed two penalties to beat Red Arrows 2-0. Christopher Zulu and Bernard Kumwenda converted from the spot.

This is crazy. The defending champions are sitting in the relegation zone. Nkana need to fix this as best they can. Zesco Utd learnt very quickly that you need a lot of depth to play both continental and local football. I hope they can stay in the Super Division because this would be a seriously sad state of affairs if they were relegated.
