MTN Super League side Forest Rangers are set to confirm the exit of head coach Tenant Chilumba, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
Chilumba missed Forest Rangers’ 2-0 win over Power Dynamos on Sunday as speculation surrounding his future intensified.
“It’s been quite dramatic in the past 48 hours for him [Chilumba], ” a ZamFoot Crew source from Ndola said.
Speculation has been rifle with news that former KK11 winger Beston Chambeshi is heading to Dola Hill.
According to insiders, Chambeshi is set to be announced as Forest Rangers coach on Monday or on Tuesday.
Chilumba took over from Perry Mutapa and qualified Forest Rangers to continental football.
The former Chipolopolo winger has also coached his former club Kabwe Warriors and Napsa Stars.
He was part of Zambia’s 1994 African Cup of Nations which reached finals in Tunisia under the late Ian Poterfield.
His other AFCON appearance was at the 1998 edition in Burkina Faso where as a 25 year old he was viewed as a bridge between the young players like Numba Mumamba (19), Rotson Kilambe (19) and Moses Sichone (20) and the old guards like Kalusha Bwalya and Kenneth ‘Bubble’ Malitoli.
