‘New look’ Zambia to camp for a week ahead of Cosafa title defence

A locally assembled Zambia national team will go into camp this Sunday in Lusaka ahead of the 2024 Cosafa Cup in South Africa.

With the tournament set to start on June 27 in South Africa, the Chipolopolo technical bench will only have about 7 days to prepare the team.

Zambia is one of the favourites to win the tournament.

And the ZamFoot Crew understands that a host of young players have been drafted into the Cosafa Cup squad.

The likes of Kelvin Mwanza (Muza) and Majapa Mumba (Green Buffaloes) are some of the players likely to get call ups.

Others are David Simukonda (Zesco United) and Sekanji Siame (Konkola Blades)

Record seven time winners Zambia have the chance to win a third straight title.

Zambia is in Group B alongside Comoros, Zimbabwe and Kenya.
