With less than three hours remaining before the much anticipated Ndola Derby between Indeni Roses and ZESCO Ndola Girls slated for the Trade Fair Grounds, we continue building up to the first-ever Women’s Super League game to be beamed live on ZNBC TV3 and televised on Top Star.

Well, the last time Indeni and ZESCO met was 2 years ago, the match was played at Indeni Sports Complex. This game was characterized by end-to-end action and it lived up to people’s expectations as the final score was 0-0 with Zegalicious Girls.
Zega Mambo girls scored in the early moments of the second half through game-changer Happy Pinto but her goal was ruled out for infringement on Mary Nanyinza who was in goal for Oilo Girls.
Both sides have maintained almost the same squad that played each other 2 years ago, with only a few inclusions in the team.
The likes of ZESCO’s Diase Mwale and Esther Mushota are amongst players who made a tough move to their rivals Indeni while The missing faces from the Roses include Mary Nanyinza and Theresa Chewe who moved to Lusaka Dynamos and Green Buffaloes respectively.
Coach Benson Chambeshi will hope to use almost the entire team that played in that 0-0 draw but the likes of Noria Sosala, Esther Mukwasa including Catherine Musonda who played in the Second half in that particular game will be missing as they are in camp with the Women’s National Team not forgetting Misozi Zulu.
On the other hand, Zegalicious technical Bench will be without Head Coach William Zulu because of suspension and will be led by Graphson Kazika and Valerie Mapulnga who will hope to utilize the available players in the team in the absence of goalkeeper and captain Ng’ambo Musole, Avel Chitundu and Vast Phiri who are also in camp with the Women’s National Team while Dorothy Mukatasha made a switch to Tanzania’s Simba Queens.
This match will be a cagey affair and a game to watch as all roads on the Copperbelt will lead to Trade Fair Grounds in this early kick-off match.
Roses are currently occupying 5th position with 12 points two behind points ZESCO who are in 4th place so expectations are very high in this game.
