The battle for promotion to the top tier of Zambian football, The MTN Super League is heating up in the National Division One.
Log leaders Trident FC have already secured promotion and are now aiming to win the league.
The Conquerors edged relegation threatened Atletico Lusaka 5-3 to continue their quest for winning the second tier of Zambian football.
Second placed Mufulira Wanderers, Mutondo Stars, and Konkola Blades are the favourites to join Trident FC in the Super League.
Mathematically however every team up to Kafue Celtic in 16th place have a slight chance of winning promotion.
Mufulira Wanderers recorded a huge win as they thrashed Aguila Stars 4-1. A brace from Joseph Mumbi and a goal each from Clive Bayeta and Evans Chisanga gave ‘Abena Milambo’ a well deserved win.
Elsewhere, Livingstone Pirates recorded a huge 2-1 win in their quest to survive relegation.
ZESCO Malaiti Rangers returned to winning ways as they edged Kafue Eagles 1-0.
Relegation threatened, Kafue Celtic beat Kitwe United 2-0 while Konkola Blades hammered Barts 3-1.
Barts have since joined Lusaka Dynamos as the two relegated teams so far this season.
