Nkana Queens started their quest for a place in the FAZ Women’s National Division One League to a good start with a narrow 1-0 win.
The Kalampa Queens edged Eastern Province Champions, Panza Queens by a lone goal.
Agness Ngoma’s 34th minute headed goal was the difference in a tightly contested encounter played at NASDEC in Lusaka.
The win takes Nkana to the summit of Group B as they enjoy their day off tomorrow before returning to the pitch on Wednesday to face North Western side, Manyama Queens.
The early kick off at NASDEC saw Manyama Queens and Ntindi Shining Stars of Muchinga Province play to a 2-2 draw.
Astridah Loma scored a brace for Manyama while Dorcas Nakaundi and Gracesure Chisunka grabbed a goal each for Ntindi Shining Stars.
In Group A the only game scheduled failed to take off as Northern Province Champions Merced United started off late and could not reach on time for kick off.
The Football Association of Zambia is yet to give an official position on the match.
