MTN Super League side Nchanga Rangers have confirmed the departure of seven players ahead of the new season.
Burkinabe striker Traoré Aboubacar leads the list of those who have parted ways with the Chingola based outfit six months after joining the club.
Nigerian midfielder Pepo Ifoni is another player who leaves the Chingola based outfit just six months after joining from ZESCO United.
Others are striker Friday Samu, right-back Gift Zulu, and Ivorian striker Mohamed Soumahoro whose contracts will not be renew, the club has confirmed.
“The club also announces the departure of left-back Stanley Chisenga and winger Mwila Kalumba following mutual agreements between both parties.
In addition, Burkinabe striker Traore Aboubacor, Nigerian midfielder Pepo Ifoni, striker Friday Samu, right-back Gift Zulu, and Ivorian striker Mohamed Soumahoro will not be part of the squad for the upcoming transitional league season following the expiry of their contracts.”
The club has thanked the seven players who have parted ways with the club and wished them well in their future endeavors.
“Nchanga Rangers Football Club extends its sincere appreciation to all departing players for their service and contribution to the club and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
The club wishes to inform its supporters, fans, and other associates that announcements regarding new signings will be made once all discussions and negotiations have been successfully concluded.”
Meanwhile the club has recalled the trio of Fred Mwila, Ndonji Nkandu, and Abel Mulenga following their loan spells.
“Nchanga Rangers Football Club wishes to announce the return of Fred Mwila, Ndonji Nkandu, and Abel Mulenga following the completion of their respective loan spells.
The trio featured for Chambishi Football Club and Mutondo Stars Football Club during the 2025/26 season and will now rejoin the team ahead of preparations for the upcoming campaign.”
