Nchanga Rangers Queens and Red Arrows Women recorded big wins while ZANACO Ladies made it eight wins a row following a 2-0 win over Elite Ladies.
The ZPL Women’s Super League entered week 16 of action on Wednesday with some exciting match ups.
At Nkoloma Stadium; Zambia U17 Women’s National Team winger Masela Sekeseke scored a brace and set up another goal as Red Arrows thrashed Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles 5-1.
Mwaziona Sakala, Mary Mambwe and Beatrice Njobvu scored a goal each. Njobvu also scored an own goal that was Kamfinsa’s consolation goal.
The win takes Arrows to 34 points and up to third place momentarily.
At Sunset Stadium, ZANACO Ladies beat Elite Ladies 2-0 to maintain their fantastic winning run.
Regina Chanda converted from 12 yards and scored a brilliant free kick to seal a comfortable win for the Bankers Ladies.
The Coach Florence Mwila coached side has now won 8 straight games beating Green Eagles and Green Buffaloes by 4-0 margins during this amazing streak.
The win takes ZANACO to 36 points and temporarily second on the log table ahead of today’s matches.
At Nchanga Stadium; Nchanga Rangers Queens thumped Amazing Grace 8-1 to make it two wins in a row.
Congolese Midfielder Sarrive Lobo Badiambila netted a hat-trick, Lungowe Namasiku and Gracious Tailoshi chipped in with a brace each while Brenda Mwewa scored a goal.
Ruth Muwowo scored the consolation goal for Amazing Grace. The Brave Queens move to 28 points and maintain seventh place.
Elsewhere Indeni Roses edged Trident Queens 1-0 while Luyando Foundation Girls and ZISD played to a goalless draw.
Chisola Ng’andu scored the only goal of the game as Konkola Blades Queens saw off YASA Queens 1-0.
The action continues today, Nkwazi Queens welcome National Assembly, Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club are away to Chipata Girls while ZESCO Ndola Girls battle Green Eagles.
