Injured Chipolopolo Midfielder Nathan Sinkala is set to return to TP Mazembe following his early the end of his 6 months loan at Swiss side Grasshoppers, Zambianfootball.co.zm understands.
According the ZamFoot Crew sources, Grasshoppers have not exercised the option of extending the loan after the 24 year old failed to make an impact in Switzerland.
This was Sinkala’s second loan spell in Europe after initially signing for then French Ligue1 side Sochaux under former Chipolopolo Boys coach Herve Renard on similar terms in January 2014 together with Stopilla Sunzu who has since trekked to the Far East.
The defensive midielder played one game at the 2015 African Cup of Nations and picked up a knee injury which kept him out of the rest of the tournament.
Elsewhere Kondwani Mtonga is back at Zesco United after a successful loan spell in India.
Kondwani is expected to be handed back the captain’s armband.
The 30 year old who featured in all three games for Zambia at AFCON 2015.
Better be back at TP Mazembe than bench warming in Europe. He should not despair, but use this as the motivation to prove the Europeans wrong. This guy is talented and he will bounce back no doubt. Keep your head up Sinkala its all good.
It will be very tough for Zambian players above 25 yrs to play for ZAMBIA.We are in the process of producing rare new golden generation of players from the U17,U20 and U23.The only missing ingredient is a mature coach to nurture the talented gems to come from these TEAMS.Not the takataka coaches currently in charge of the team.2017 Afcon and 2018 world cup,ZAMBIA WILL SMILE AGAIN.

Ba Zamfoot; what is the latest on Mayuka. His injury and how long he will be out or any movement on the club side of things aswell.
On the transfer, I believe the market is closed now and there was no indications/news that Mayuka has been shipped anywhere, so my assumption is that he stays with saints for now until the summer window opens up. Maybe they(saints) liked his only goal the AFCON and realized that he needs game time at club level and be supplied with passes as master did and he will score more, because for a bench warmer to come and score against a quality of Tunisia’s caliber is huge and if he had been playing regularly at saints, he would have banged all those chances that came begging…but that’s just my opinion and I could be biased or just being optimistic.

not trying to blow my horn as a ghanaian but as a follower n supporter of the black stars. this current ghana team was given little chance to make any meaningful impact at this years tourney cos of the happenings at the world cup which apparently made ghanaians loose faith in the team. generally when ghana is at this level in any competition the euphoria around major cities and towns will b above imaginable but am not seeing any of such now. the team made ghanaians far away from them when they lost to senegal and the players themselves noticed the omen will not be gud for them if they should bow out in the first round of the competition hence a change in their approach n tactics towards games,knowing as how much the nation as spent on them in previous tourneys. the happenings in brazil leading to them being booed in their game against uganda at their favourite kumasi stadium. the team feels the owe the nation n are matching towards the eluded title since 1988.in the end,with GRANT the future looks very bright for ghana players like elvis manu of feyenood,accam,baba,acquah,kwesi appiah,atsu n a host of others horning their talents in europe.

i think i have to agree with john.a team is built from the junior side..most of this ghana teams were players of 2009 and 2013 under 20 team..and if am not mistaking,95% of them got clubs in europe,if not first team,then junior teams.essien and muntari were discovered after 2000 under 20 wc..but one more thing..having good agents also increase your chance of getting to europe..but most of the european teams have scouts in ghana who discover the youth so nigerians and other people from different countries come to ghana to be scouted.kalu should think of tommorrow and be serious

Europe is where football is played at the highest level across the entire Europe even in unknown leagues like hungary,Cyprus,armenia, bulgaria etc.teams like basel,Olympiacos,Celtic would give the likes of mazembe,al ahly a serious hiding in a competitive match.
Its not all about Europe, Zambia won with an African based team, Keshi mixed unknown locals with European based and won. Zambia just need a good coach

Guys football is about europe Egypt and zambia will never win afcon again with local players. The level of competition has become to high. The groups have become to tough. Minnows like Malawi and mozambique cannot qualify for afcon anymore. The groups are now so tough such that if you don’t have classy European stars you pack in round 1.

I agree with Alex zz. Zambia should just keep Sunzu, Mayuka, lubambo musonda, mbola, kalaba, Mweene and scrap everyone else and fuse in the new boys from the u-17 and u-20. These boys must qualify for the world cup and 90% of them must seal contracts in europe this year. The team should be built for afcon 2017.
The fact that zambia does not have a single central defender in a top European league is one of the biggest reasons we cannot hold on to a lead. We lack experience and class at the back and this is something we need to work on. Sunzu needs a new partner at the back playing in europe

Our team is OK. We just need a new coach plus the inclusion of performing players like Kola. If we had a good coach, this team would have gone very far in this tournament. Team selection was pathetic to say the least. You take along the whole lot of raw strikers and you leave defenders and midfielders.
Ever heard of Ucar Godfrey Chitalu ? May be you were a toddler in his playing days. He never played in Europe but he terrorized Africa. So really it doesn’t matter where one is playing. It is the skill that matters
