Zambia Super League side, NAPSA Stars have renewed their shirt sponsorship deal with Stanbic Bank Zambia.
The deal is worth $80,000 (K1.500,000 approximately), about 14% increment from the 2022 deal.
The deal was signed on Friday morning at Southern Sun Ridgeway.
The deal was first signed in August 2019 and the relationship between the two has continued to grow from strength to strength.
NAPSA Stars Football Club Board Chairman John Chundu praised the relationship between the two parties.
“The renewal of this sponsorship signals more than just financial support. It symbolises a mutual dedication to growth, Innovation and the pursuit of Greatness and Stanbic Bank Zambia’s involvement in Sports,” he said.
“With Stanbic Bank Zambia by our side, we have the privilege of partnering with a company that will help mirror our ambition and share our vision for success, which is to be among the best model football clubs in Africa.”
“As a supporting sponsor, your role has been pivotal in amplifying the impact of our main sponsor’s contributions. Your unwavering support has not only fortified our team’s capabilities but has also magnified the resonance of our message,” he added.
Stanbic Bank Zambia Chief Executive Officer, Mwindwa Siakalima said the Bank has seen a lot of potential in the Pensioners hence the decision to continue with the partnership.
“As a Bank we have continued to see a lot of potential in his team, and we are therefore excited to renew our sponsorship with NAPSA Stars Football Club for the 2023/2024 season. This time around we have increased our sponsorship from last year’s USD70,000 to USD 80,000 of today’s Kwacha equivalent,” he said.
NAPSA Director General, Muyangwa Muyangwa has challenged the team to fight for honours.
“To the board, management, technical team, and the players, I challenge you to vie for honours this season to bring smiles to the fans and sponsors alike. Let’s aim for another silverware, just like we did in 2022, triumphing in the nation’s only cup competition.
It is possible again. We’re capable of more. You have the team, you have the supporters, and you have the sponsors, all working to ensure that you succeed. The job that remains is on the pitch. Let’s go out there and conquer,” he said.
“I hope to watch NAPSA Stars FC in continental competition again soon. Our debut performance, reaching the group stage in 2021, was impressive. Let’s strive for this achievement once more,” he added.
The 2022 ABSA Cup Champions will be hoping to qualify for the CAF interclubs Competitions as they start their 2023/2024 MTN Super League season.
The Pensioners will start their campaign with a home fixture against nine time Super League Champions, ZESCO United.
