NAPSA Stars will be without four first-team players for their Week 17 MTN Super League trip to Mutondo Stars after confirming multiple injury setbacks on the eve of the fixture.
Midfielder Larry Bwalya has been ruled out after sustaining a left ankle injury during a friendly match, while striker Yusuph Shabani Athuman is sidelined with a strained left quadricep picked up in the recent league clash against Konkola Blades.
Defender Teddy Khumalo continues to manage chronic groin pain, and forward Timothy Sichalwe will also miss the match after suffering a left ankle sprain in a friendly encounter.
All four players are under the care of the clubโs medical team, with further updates expected in due course.
The injury blow comes ahead of a crucial away fixture against second-bottom Mutondo Stars at Arthur Davies Stadium, as NAPSA look to secure vital points in the closing match of the first round.
