National First Division side Napsa Stars have progressed to the semi-finals of the 2022 ABSA Cup after beating Green Buffaloes 7-6 on post match penalties.
The match ended level at one all after 90 minutes.
Former Zambia U-20 national team forward Martin Njobvu opened the scores in the 9th minute slotting home from close range.
The Zambia army sponsored outfit however failed to maintain the lead as the Pensioners leveled matters in the 29th minute through Simon Nkhata.
Green buffaloes had several chances to take back the lead but they were poor in the final third with Njobvu and George Ngoma all missing clear chances.
It was all square after ninety minutes and the match went direct to penalties.
The Pensioners scored their spot kicks through Musonda Kapembwa, David Odhiambo, Joseph Lungu, Daniel Adoko, Simon Nkhata, Thomas Banda and Luka Banda while Luka Nguni had his spot kick saved by Jonathan Mfula.
Kayawe Kapota and Emmanuel Museka missed their spot kicks for Buffaloes while Jack Chirwa, Gideon Sichone, Lucky Bwalya, Chilimba Moonga, John Josamu and Robin Siame converted.
