The Zambian Super League will return to action this weekend after going on a short recess to the FIFAÂ international window.Â
One of the games to look forward to will see newcomers Maestro United and Naps Stars at the National Heroes Stadium on Saturday.Â
The Pensioners are coming from a 1-0 loss away at Arthur Davies Stadium while Maestro United recorded an impressive 2-0 win over Nchanga Rangers ending their unbeaten run.Â
Head Coach Perry Mutapa wants his side to return to winning ways immediately but he knows it won’t be easy against Maestro United who have been doing well so far this season.
“It’s a very important game especially since we are coming from a loss. It’s important to get a win playing at home but FC MUZA are flying,I think they have only lost one game, so it is not going to be an easy game. It’s early days but we don’t have to drop a lot of points. We just have to collect three points but it’s a game of three results,” he said.
“We are a team that does not concede easily but we have to make sure we study Maestri United and close shop. We have conceded three goals and scored two but we are creating chances and we know where the problem is. We just have to work on that and start scoring goals.”
The Pensioners will be without midfielder Leonard Mulenga who is serving a one match suspension after being sent off against Power Dynamos.
“Of course he (Leonard Mulenga) is out so we are going to replace him. We are a team which won’t rely on a few players. Given an opportunity, you should step up and do the job,” he said.
“We have been working on combination play and our biggest problem is finishing, trying out new things.”
“Our target is maximum three points but football is a game of three results,” he added.
Napsa Stars are currently 13th on the log with 5 points from five games played so far while Maestro United on the other hand are sixth with eight points from the five games they have played.
