Dickson Chapa scored from the spot to rescue a point for NAPSA Stars who played to a 1-1 draw with Fole Malembe.
Cedric Djeugoue put Forest Rangers in the lead in the 87th minute with a header off a Cephas Mulombwa cross.
Djeugoue was judged to have handled the ball in the box for the NAPSA Stars penalty.
The draw sees NAPSA move up to third place with 50 points.
Forest Rangers remain on 7th place with 48 points.
