FC MUZA have been awarded three points from their week 30 MTN Super League abandoned match against Red Arrows.
The FAZ Disciplinary Committee have found Red Arrows guilty of breaching the FAZ Disciplinary code 2021 edition article 31 and 57.
Arrows have further been fined K20,000 by the FAZ Disciplinary Committee.
“In terms of Article 57 and Article 31 of the FAZ Disciplinary Code 2021 edition, Red Arrows FC is found guilty. This Committee therefore imposes a fine K20,000 and Red Arrows further forfeits the week 30 fixture to Muza FC by 0-3 scoreline.”
On the 22nd Of April, 2023 the week 30 fixture between Red Arrows and Muza FC was abandoned at halftime by match officials as they took into consideration the safety of (1) Players, (2) Match Officials (3) Team officials and (4) Spectators. This was due to physical confrontation(s) between Red Arrows security staff and Muza Team Members.
The committee therefore felt compelled to invite both parties to appear before it, so as to critically analyze through a hearing the true nature of issues or rather material particulars which caused the fixture being declared as abandoned by the Match Officials. The hearing served to also hear from expert witnesses who were a qualified medical doctor, the FAZ Referees Manager, the Zambian Premier League Manager and other witnesses called on by the respective parties(s) .
“Upon careful analysis and determination of the case through the evidence thereof, the committee is therefore satisfied from the evidence that Red Arrows FC through its security personnel caused the abandonment of the week 30 fixture between itself and Muza FC at Nkoloma Stadium.”
Arrows have 72 hours to appeal the ruling.
