Super League side Nakambala Leopards are close to securing the Services of Tanzanian striker Elias Maguri, The ZamFoot Crew can reveal.
Leopards ended the transitional Superleague season with the clubs top scorer Simon Mulenga netting just 4 goals. The Sugar boys have since embarked on a mission to strengthen their strikeforce.
Maguri has played for the Tanzania national team before. He made his debut on November 28, 2013, and has 18 caps for Taifa Stars of Tanzania to his name, scoring six times for his national team. The 28-year-old striker latest goal for Tanzania was against Benin in an international Friendly back in 2017.
Nakambala is also looking to add Mighty Mufulira Wanderers striker John Goma to their roaster. Head Coach Zeddy Saileti confirmed the development.
“We are currently Monitoring Elias and John Goma from Mighty Wanderers as both have been training with us for some time now.”
Maguri even played in a friendly game against Kasco Rangers scoring a brace for the Sweetboys of Mazabuka.
The Tanzanian Striker failed to secure a deal last year with Nakambala after being spotted at Nakambala Stadium. Maguri was once on the books of AS Kigali, Dhafor Club, Stand United, and Simba SC.
Other Notable players yet to sign for Nakambala include, Mandra Muleya and Yanganile Tembo both Formerly of Fc Meastro United, Changala Simutenda, Aubrey Chamulwanda Both From Mighty. Ghanaian Goalkeeper Dominic, Timothy Banda from Ndola United, Mathews Ngoma from Lusaka Dynamos, Golden Chitalu from Young Nkana as well as Albert from Sable Bulls who are currently training with the Mazabuka based outfit.
