England based striker Mwiya Malumo has revealed his ambitions to push for a place in the senior national team.
The Zambia U20 national team forward is however focused on the COSAFA U20 championships before pushing for a slot in coach Sven Vandenbroek’s side.
” First of all I have to make sure I do the country proud so I will have to give a good performance at COSAFA then maybe push for a place at the senior National team, ” he said.
His coach Charles Bwale was full of praise for new inclusions in the team who he thinks are very talented.
Bwale roped in Happy hearts wonder kid Golden Mashata, South African based Salifyanji Mugala, Young Buffaloes striker Emmanuel Mwiinde and Patrick Gondwe from Young Nkana.
“We have recalled Andrew Phiri who was with the U17 in Mauritius and we have new inclusions in Mugala, Mashata and Gondwe,” he said.
“If I look at the new inclusions they are talented players. When it comes to jelling they have no problem because they are very skillful and their mental strength is superb and I may try them when we start the tournament,” he added.
Bwale is also happy with the general response from all the 27 players have already reported for camp.
“The response for the players is good especially that we did not even qualify for AFCON. The players are putting in their best,” Bwale said.
The Junior Chipolopolo had their first friendly match this morning and made easy work of Chawama Select beating them 5-1.
Malumo fondly called bobo in buchi,a mbesuma look alike really means business.
The boy has stamina ,skill and he enjoys scoring goals and if keep on working hard he will break into the senior team.

You can’t try players you are not sure of in the beginning of the tournament. Wait until the third match. If you have already garnered maximum points then rest some players who you think deserve it, and that is the time to use those you were not sure of.
Those you rest will be fresh in the knock out stage, and those you try out will show you which players to continue or discontinue with.
