Chipolopolo Midfielder Enock Mwepu will miss Brighton and Hove Albion’s English Premier League tie against Tottenham Hotspurs this evening.
This will be Mwepu’s second absence since returning from the FIFA international window. He continues to recover from an illness.
Brighton and Hove Albion coach Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that the Zambian international who also missed the 3-3 draw away at Anfield will not be available during Friday’s pre-match press conference.
“Enock Mwepu is not expected to be involved, while Moises Caicedo is being assessed ahead of the game.”
De Zerbi said: Moises Caicedo didn’t work with the team yesterday. We will be looking at the situation today, but I don’t think there will be a problem.”
Mwepu was knocked out of the Copper Bullets September FIFA window international friendly match against Mali due to medical reasons despite having made the trip to Bamako.
The Seagulls will host the Lilly Whites at the American Express Community Stadium at 18:30 as they look to maintain their fairytale start to the 2022/2023 season.
